Rajasthan is a state in northern India, the largest in terms of land area. It is well known because it represents some of the familiar images of India that we all have: forts, palaces, turbans and color.

It’s called the Golden Triangle because of the shape formed on a map when you connect Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The area encompasses some of the most interesting and most visited places in India.

Begin your journey in New Delhi with visits to the Friday mosque, and proceed to Agra to visit the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Finally, it is on to Jaipur where you will explore Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar.

This triangle has been named “golden” for the extraordinary wealth of cultural and historical splendor that is offered in each of the three cities: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
